BIOGRAPHY

For over three decades, William Elder Groebe has worked as a director, animation director, art director, storyboard artist, concept artist, and professional ballet dancer. Though his dance experience hasn’t come in as handy as he'd hoped. Groebe's directing credits include episodes of Bleacher Report’s The Portal, which won a Sports Emmy in 2022, the short films Three Queen, and Suspended, as well as a variety of commercials. He currently works as an art director for Rob McElhenney’s company, Adim, directing their first film (as of yet to be announced). Groebe's contributed art direction and storyboards to dozens of films and TV shows, including Deadpool 2 and 3, Stranger Things, Bullet Train, Free Guy, and more, as well as concept art and animation for video games including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. As an animation director, he has led teams on such films as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, It Chapter 2, Ted, Cloverfield, and the Twilight films.
