Terms of Service
The ground rules for using WatchRoster β your collection tracker and The Shelf community. We've kept it plain and fair.
Last updated: June 2026
Acceptance of Terms
By using WatchRoster, you agree to these terms. It's that simple.
If you don't agree with something here, please don't use the service. We want everyone to have a good experience, and these terms help make that possible.
These terms cover both your private collection tools and The Shelf, our public community space. Where something applies specifically to public content, we'll say so.
Age Requirements & Minors
You must be at least 13 years old to use WatchRoster.
If you're between 13 and 18, you may only use WatchRoster β and especially post to The Shelf β with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian.
We don't knowingly allow children under 13 to create accounts or post content. If we learn that someone under 13 has done so, we'll remove the account and its content. If you believe a child under 13 is using WatchRoster, please contact us at [email protected].
The Shelf Is Public
The Shelf is WatchRoster's social space, and it's public by design.
When you post to The Shelf, your post β including any photo, caption, comments, and likes β is visible to other users, shown on your public profile and in the public feed, and viewable by anyone who opens a shared link, including people who don't have a WatchRoster account.
Link previews that you or others share may also display your post's image and text on third-party platforms (for example, Facebook, Discord, or X). This is different from your private collection data, which stays private (see our Privacy Policy).
A good rule of thumb: don't post anything to The Shelf that you wouldn't want to be public.
Your Content & License
You're responsible for everything you post or upload to WatchRoster β including photos, captions, comments, and notes.
You keep ownership of your content. To run the service, you grant Watch Roster LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute the content you post, for the purpose of operating and promoting WatchRoster. For content you post to The Shelf, that expressly includes displaying it publicly in the feed, on profiles, and in social link/share previews on third-party platforms.
This license lasts while your content is on WatchRoster and ends when you delete it β allowing a reasonable amount of time to remove copies and for backups to cycle out.
By posting, you represent that:
- You own or have the rights to everything you post
- Your content doesn't violate anyone else's rights
- You're not posting anything illegal, harmful, or prohibited (see below)
Community Guidelines & Prohibited Content
Because The Shelf is public, the following are never allowed anywhere on WatchRoster:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM): Strictly prohibited, zero tolerance. We report CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement, and we permanently ban offenders.
- Illegal content or activity of any kind
- Harassment, bullying, or threats toward anyone
- Hate speech, or content attacking people based on protected characteristics
- Violent or graphic content
- Sexual, explicit, or pornographic content and nudity
- Spam, scams, or deliberately misleading content
- Impersonating another person or creating fake accounts
- Content that infringes someone's copyright, trademark, or other rights
And please don't misuse the service itself β no scraping or automated data collection, no attempts to access other users' accounts or data, no malware, and nothing that overloads or interferes with WatchRoster.
We may remove content and suspend or ban accounts that break these rules.
Content Moderation & Reporting
We moderate The Shelf to keep it safe and welcoming.
You can report any post or comment using the report option, and our team reviews what comes in. At our discretion, we may hide or remove content and suspend or ban accounts. You can also block other users so you don't see their posts.
When content is removed, it stops being displayed on WatchRoster and is no longer served in share or link previews. We may take these actions with or without notice, and we're not obligated to keep or restore removed content.
Copyright & DMCA
We respect intellectual property, and we ask our users to do the same. If you believe content on WatchRoster infringes your copyright, you can send a takedown notice to our designated agent.
A valid notice must include:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed
- Identification of the infringing material and enough information for us to find it (such as the URL of the post)
- Your contact information β name, mailing address, phone number, and email
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use isn't authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf

Valuation Estimates
Important: Any market value estimates we provide are for informational purposes only.
We do our best to provide helpful pricing information, but we can't guarantee accuracy. The collectibles market fluctuates, and actual sale prices can vary widely based on condition, rarity, buyer interest, and countless other factors.
Don't make major financial decisions based solely on our estimates. When selling valuable items, we recommend getting multiple opinions and doing your own research.
Disclaimers, Liability & Indemnification
We work hard to keep WatchRoster running smoothly, but we can't promise 100% uptime. Sometimes things break, updates need to happen, or the internet has other plans.
Watch Roster LLC provides WatchRoster "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. While we strive to protect your data, we recommend keeping your own records of important collection information.
Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Watch Roster LLC isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, for content posted by users, or for disputes between users. The Shelf is a platform β users are responsible for their own posts and conduct, and we're not responsible for interactions or disputes between users.
Indemnification. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Watch Roster LLC from claims arising out of the content you post, your use of WatchRoster, your violation of these terms, or your violation of someone else's rights.
Changes to the Service
We're always improving WatchRoster, which means things may change. We may:
- Add new features or remove existing ones
- Update these terms when needed
- Change pricing if we introduce paid features
- Discontinue the service (we'd give you notice first)
For significant changes, we'll do our best to give you a heads up. Continued use of WatchRoster after changes means you accept the updated terms.
