The story follows Mekhelecheen, a hunter dedicated to preserving the wisdom of his ancestors while trying to teach his grandson Mishuk about the importance of their heritage. Mishuk, initially oblivious to the beauty of the taiga, finds himself lost in the forest with his dog, Sergekh. Their encounter with a magical deer transforms Mishuk, granting him the ability to communicate with all living things.

As the narrative unfolds, the bond between grandfather and grandson is tested through unexpected trials. Together, they confront poachers threatening the Spirit of the Taiga, illustrating a deep connection to nature and the urgency of protecting it. This film not only highlights the beauty of the natural world but also emphasizes the importance of understanding and preserving cultural legacies.
