The story follows Kota Mizutani, a 10-year-old boy whose health declines after witnessing a murder. His mother, Mariko, brings him to the clinic of Akiko, where Kota recounts a chilling tale of a man he saw strangling a woman in a park. As Akiko and Hamada investigate, they struggle to find evidence of the crime.

Things take a turn when the body of a woman, murdered two months earlier, is found at a construction site. A citizen’s tip about the victim’s clothing leads the police to Kazuko Shimazaki, a photographer with a mysterious absence. As the investigation unfolds, the truth becomes more complex, revealing that the victim is not who they initially believed.
