Set in Tokyo in 1998, 流れるままのグリーン follows sisters Keiko and Sumiko as they cope with the death of their father, which they discover through a message on an answering machine. The film delves into Keiko's deteriorating mental state leading to her hospitalization, while Sumiko grapples with loneliness and anxiety, turning to sleeping pills for solace.
