6:14 is one of those eerie little gems that lingers in the mind long after viewing. The whole vibe is so unsettling – waking up confused, the disorientation is palpable, and the sense of dread builds slowly as our protagonist starts to peel back the layers of his surroundings. The atmosphere is thick with tension, and the pacing has this methodical creep that really drives home the horror. The practical effects, though not over-the-top, hit hard when they need to, adding a rawness to the experience. The performances, too, are pretty solid; the lead does a great job of embodying that mix of vulnerability and growing terror. It’s an odd little film that you won’t forget easily.
