A Case of Deadly Force

The film is based on a true story from 1975, focusing on the cover-up of a shooting involving two members of the Boston Tactical Unit. While conducting surveillance on a suspected getaway car, they shot a black man who approached the vehicle, claiming self-defense. The investigation initially ruled the shooting justified, but the victim's widow, confident in her husband's innocence, sought to challenge the police's account.

To prove her case, she hired a former police officer turned lawyer. Alongside his four sons, they confront the police force in what becomes a landmark legal case, highlighting issues of race and justice.
