A Farewell to Hemingway

The film takes place on the night of October 18, 1922, as an American traveler is forced to disembark from the Orient Express at a small Bulgarian station. The local railway chief and his daughter are initially reluctant to host the stranger, but as the story unfolds, the American earns their trust.

Conflict arises when the father discovers his daughter’s intention to leave for Paris with the American. In a desperate act to keep them apart, he concocts a potion to sedate the American and secretly places him on a train.
