A Flower in the Mouth

The film consists of a diptych that contrasts the beauty and terror of life. The first act presents an observational documentary set in the world’s largest flower market, showcasing the industrial process of millions of bouquets moving through a refrigerated hangar. This setting serves as a backdrop for a meditation on time and existence.

In the second act, the narrative shifts to a fictional adaptation of a Pirandello play. It centers around a man with a flower-shaped tumor who engages a traveler in a deep, metaphysical conversation at an all-night café. As he confronts his mortality, he meticulously observes life around him, enhancing the film's exploration of what it means to truly live in the face of death.
