A General's Daughter

The story centers around Ineke and Jamal, who have plans to marry until disaster strikes when Ineke is injured by a horse, leading to potential paralysis. Jamal, having already applied for a job in the oil industry, leaves her in the hospital, but continues to write letters to her. However, these letters are withheld by Ineke’s mother.

As the plot unfolds, Doctor Yaman, who has just returned from Timor Timur, takes on the challenge of treating Ineke. His medical efforts prove successful, and he ultimately marries Ineke, who has moved on and forgotten about Jamal. When Jamal returns home, he is devastated to learn about the changes in Ineke's life from his younger sibling, while Ineke’s mother grapples with feelings of guilt for her role in the situation.
