A House in the Quarter

Set in Kyoto, A House in the Quarter tells the story of Yuko, who is sold into a brothel to support her impoverished family. As the eldest daughter, she becomes one of the top entertainers, serving a wealthy customer named Takamatsu. Despite his deep affection for her, Yuko finds herself drawn to a young priest named Kunugida, leading to a complex love triangle.

The film navigates the emotional turmoil of its characters, showcasing the conflicts between love and duty. Takamatsu, feeling threatened by Yuko's feelings for Kunugida, devises a cruel scheme to separate them.
