A Love to Keep

The film follows two female teachers who navigate their forbidden love in a time when such relationships are criminalized. To protect their child from the regime, one teacher's parents confine her to a mental health clinic, where she suffers abuse and electroshock treatment. After Franco's regime falls, she gains the chance to return home, but her mother's surveillance complicates her reunion with her lover. With the help of her sympathetic father, she attempts to escape, but her traumatic past leaves lasting effects on her mental health.
