A Noble Intention

The film follows Vedder, a luthier in Amsterdam, who faces the loss of his home due to the construction of the Victoria Hotel. As he steps aside, his cousin Anijs, a pharmacist embroiled in illegal practices, devises a plan to escape his troubles. Their scheme not only aims to benefit themselves but also a colony of poor peat cutters with dreams of a new life in the United States.
