A Second Mother

The film centers on Nam-Ok, who remarries Heung-Yeol, bringing together children from both previous marriages. As tensions rise between the half-siblings, particularly following a tragic event where Heung-Yeol drowns while trying to save Yun-Ho, the story unfolds over the years.

Fifteen years later, the narrative shifts to Hyeong-Tae, who is studying abroad, and Hyeong-Ja, who lives lavishly in Seoul. The film also follows Yun-Suk’s relationship with Dong-Oh, which becomes complicated due to manipulations from Hyeong-Ja, leading to a tragic conclusion.

With its focus on romance, family conflict, and personal tragedy, A Second Mother provides a poignant look at the challenges within blended families. The film features prominent performances from Kim Ji-mi, Choi Mu-ryong, and Shin Seong-il, adding depth to the emotional narrative.
