A Soldier's Love Story

The film follows ten-year-old Jared Marshall, who struggles with the aftermath of his parents' divorce. Relocated to California with his mother, he finds solace in a correspondence with Sergeant First Class Vince Carerra, a soldier stationed in Bosnia. Their letters provide Jared with the fatherly guidance he desperately needs, bridging the gap created by his father's absence.

As Jared's relationship with Vince develops, Vince visits Jared's home after returning from duty. He becomes more than just a mentor; he takes on the role of a baseball coach and forms a connection with Jared's mother.
