A Soldier's Oath

The film follows Pierre Duval, a French soldier who encounters a dying Count de Morave on the battlefield. The count entrusts Pierre with family jewels and crucial documents, setting off a chain of events that leads to tragedy and a wrongful imprisonment.

Pierre's journey includes a heart-wrenching loss when his wife Margot is murdered by Lazare, a war correspondent. After being wrongfully convicted, Pierre's bravery in a jailhouse rescue earns him a pardon. Meanwhile, his daughter Mavis, adopted by the duke, finds herself caught in a web of deceit involving Lazare, who pretends to be the Count de Morave. The story culminates in a dramatic confrontation over the stolen jewels, highlighting themes of justice and family loyalty.
