This film was produced by the Film Mutual Benefit Corporation and first presented on December 16, 1922. It features John Woodford and Marie Olivette, who portray Dr. and Mrs. Moore with authenticity, aided by historical portraits and costumes provided by the descendants of Dr. Moore.

The film is notable not only for its animation but also for its charitable roots. Half of the proceeds from its release were donated to the America Committee for Devastated France and the Maternity Centre Association of New York. The backing score includes musical pieces such as Pan & The Wood Goblins, Dance of the Icicles, and Entr’acte Gavotte from Minon, enhancing the viewing experience. The new title cards are illustrated with images from the first publication of Moore’s work, connecting the film to its literary origins.
