So, 'Abang Long Fadil 2' is a curious mix of action and comedy set in the underbelly of the Malaysian mafia. Fadil, our lead, gets tangled up in a plot with Taji Samprit and his son Wak Doyok, which leads to some quirky situations. The pacing has a distinct rhythm—it's punchy and keeps you on your toes. The interplay between Fadil and the inspectors, Wahab and Shuib, adds a nice layer of tension and humor, especially as they're trying to pin the assassin, Tiger, on him. The performances are a little over-the-top, but that’s part of its charm. What stands out? The practical effects in the action sequences, which have a certain grit that CGI often lacks. It’s an interesting blend of crime and farce, really.
Interesting blend of genres that keeps you guessing. · Distinctive performances that add flavor to the narrative. · Practical effects enhance the action sequences.
