Abarenbo Shogun II – New Year’s Special

The film centers on Yoshimune, the shogun, who leads a dual life. While he maintains his role as a dedicated leader in court, he also travels incognito as a wandering swordsman. His mission is to expose crime and corruption, all while wielding his sword with impressive speed.

As Yoshimune works to uphold justice, he faces jealousy and threats from high-ranking officials, particularly Lord Owari. The plot thickens when Lord Owari attempts to undermine Yoshimune by targeting his mother, accusing her of practicing Christianity, a crime with severe consequences.
