Abraham's Valley

Ema is a beautiful but naive girl whose presence causes accidents. She marries Dr. Carlos Paiva, her father's friend, although she does not feel attracted to him. As they settle in the valley of Abraham, Carlos loves Ema but chooses to sleep separately to avoid disturbing her. Over time, Ema's dissatisfaction with her marriage leads her to seek fulfillment outside of it.
