Absent Without Leave

Set in 1942 Wellington, Absent Without Leave follows the story of Daisy Edwards, a 16-year-old girl who is pregnant and relies on her husband, Ed. Ed is drafted into the army, forcing Daisy to move in with her father in Auckland. When Ed's leave is unexpectedly revoked, he makes the risky decision to go AWOL to be with Daisy on her journey home.
