The film follows rescue member Jie and his companions as they attempt to save a reef tanker caught in a storm. The captain’s stubbornness complicates their mission, while a dark shadow from the deep sea begins to haunt them. After a tragic event leads to the deaths of his colleagues, Jie becomes disheartened and struggles with his past.

Years later, Jie returns to the sea, where he and his crew rescue a woman named Xiaojing from an overturned yacht. However, their troubles escalate as they confront not only the storm but also mysterious creatures lurking beneath the waves. The survivors must confront their pasts and work together to navigate the dangers they face, revealing that the real threats are not just from nature but also lurking in the depths.
