The film centers on 17-year-old Susanne, a gymnast striving to secure her place on the national team. As she struggles with a new dismount on the uneven bars, her life becomes increasingly complicated by academic pressures and family dynamics. Susanne's relationship with her boyfriend, Michael, also suffers due to her demanding training schedule. As he prepares to join the army, their once-close bond becomes strained.
