The film follows Mehriban and Sarkhan, a couple whose love is challenged by Mehriban's family. In a bid for freedom, they attempt to flee to Turkey, but their challenges do not end there. After a brief period in Turkey, they return to Baku, where Mehriban's mother intervenes, forcing them apart once more.

Sarkhan faces a heartbreaking journey as he lives in a psychological abyss, ultimately leaving for Russia to work. Upon his return, he is faced with the tragic news of Mehriban's death. The film captures Sarkhan's resilience as he takes on the responsibility of raising their daughter alone, highlighting the themes of sacrifice and perseverance in familial bonds.
