Adelic Penguins

Originally commissioned by the Sony Corporation of Japan, Adelic Penguins was performed live on the JumboTRON at the Expo in Tsukuba, Japan. This 33-minute film is structured in six segments and is a collaboration between Fitzgerald, artist Paul Garrin, and Sakamoto, who provides a distinctive percussive score.

The film is a technical tour-de-force that fuses sound and image, with dynamic visual imagery enhancing Sakamoto's music. Fitzgerald and Garrin create a surreal landscape where Sakamoto's movements are integral, navigating through a hyperkinetic universe that combines terrestrial and interplanetary elements.
