Adrift (1993) dips into the murky waters of mystery and suspense. There's this unsettling ambiance throughout, almost like you can feel the tension on that sailboat. Katie and Guy's seemingly simple cruise takes a dark turn when they rescue Eliza and Nick from a wrecked vessel, and you can’t shake off the feeling that something's off with them. The pacing is a bit slow, but it builds a palpable dread that keeps you guessing. The performances are decent, capturing the unease well. Plus, there’s an interesting use of practical effects that adds an edge to the limited settings. It’s not your typical TV movie fare, definitely has its quirks.
