Advokátka Věra

The story centers on Věra Donátová, who has just graduated from law school and dreams of starting her own practice. However, her financial dependence on her parents complicates her ambitions. With support from her emancipated mother and pressure from her father, Věra faces a year-long ultimatum: succeed in her law career or marry the son of Consul Raboch.

As Věra struggles to attract clients, her first case comes unexpectedly when she is assigned to represent Petr Kučera, a prisoner known as Tygr. Through her efforts, she manages to secure his release, which sets off a chain of events that leads her into the underworld. Věra's encounters with Tygr allow her to challenge societal norms, as she navigates her professional and personal aspirations while rejecting the suitors her father presents.
