Afterlife

The film follows Sam, a highly intelligent 14-year-old girl living in the south of the Netherlands. After the death of her mother, she takes on the responsibility of caring for her two younger brothers and helping her father manage their household. Her life takes a dramatic turn when she is struck by a truck on her way to school.

In the afterlife, Sam encounters her mother and experiences a unique blend of happiness and sadness. As she learns about a potential return to life, the film raises questions about family bonds and the lengths one would go to for loved ones.
