Alien Rising is an interesting blend of action and sci-fi with a pretty engaging premise. The pacing feels a bit uneven at times, but that just adds to the tension as we follow this top secret mission. The atmosphere is thick with suspense, especially once they board that alien ship. The telepathic connection between the two aliens is a unique twist that adds depth to the story. And I have to say, the practical effects used are surprisingly solid, giving the film a gritty feel that a lot of newer sci-fi lacks. The performance of the ex-DEA agent really stands out; she's tough yet vulnerable. It's got its flaws, but there's something about the execution that draws you in. Definitely worth a look for genre enthusiasts.
