The story follows Toni, who, after losing his wife, finds himself pursuing various affairs. His latest interest is Emma, an American woman eager to vacation with him at Lake Wolfgang. However, upon arrival, they discover that their rented apartment is already occupied by two other vacationers due to a booking error.
