So, 'Ambivalence' is quite the intriguing piece from 2019. Even though the director's name escapes me, the film sets up a compelling dichotomy between two young psychiatrists. The tension is palpable, really. One character is all about the ethical side of their profession, while the other dives into some morally murky waters. It’s interesting how the two are drawn to the same woman, Katerina Sergeevna, which adds layers to their rivalry. The pacing feels deliberate, almost like a slow burn, which makes the unraveling of their relationship all the more impactful. The performances are grounded, and there's a certain rawness to the emotions that enhances the drama. Not your run-of-the-mill thriller, that's for sure.
