American Brothers

The film follows Dick, Joe, and Benny Mahoney, who, as boys, aspired to be heroes. After years apart, Dick, recently paroled, seeks to reconnect with his brothers before leaving the country. Joe runs the family business while caring for Benny, who struggles emotionally and spends his time medicating and watching cartoons.

As the brothers reunite, they reminisce about their childhood but also face the reality of their stagnant lives. Joe’s weekly comic store visits highlight his hesitance to engage with the world, while Benny finds solace only in his psychiatrist's office.
