Andrea, How Is It Like to Be a Mother?

The story follows Andrea, a communist insurgent who seeks refuge with her friend Joyce when it is time for her to give birth. After her husband is reportedly killed, Andrea leaves her son in Joyce's care but is arrested by the military before she can return. Joyce and her husband, believing Andrea to be dead, decide to keep the child and move to the United States.

Seven years later, Andrea returns to confront the couple and reclaim her son. This narrative touches on complex themes of motherhood, loss, and the impact of political conflict on personal lives.
