Angel del barrio

The story follows Patada de Mula, an old retired boxer burdened by the guilt of having killed his opponent in the ring. Now working as a masseur and selling balloons, he supports the widow and son of the man he killed, all without revealing his identity. His life becomes more complicated as he develops feelings for Marga, a neighbor caught in a dangerous situation with a gangster named Duque.

As tensions rise, Patada’s connection with the aspiring boxer, El Kid, complicates matters further. El Kid, sponsored by Duque, harbors a deep resentment towards Patada for his father’s death. When El Kid learns the truth about Patada’s sacrifices for his family, he seeks reconciliation and asks for his forgiveness, setting the stage for a dramatic turn of events. This film presents a gritty look at the lives of its characters and the difficult choices they must make.
