Anne Van Jogja

The story follows Anne, a girl of mixed Dutch and Javanese descent, whose life is shaped by her father's banishment and the subsequent challenges she faces. After her father's death, Anne encounters significant changes in her world as her school closes and her mother's company is taken over. These events lead her to relocate to Solo, where she establishes a batik business, showcasing her resilience amid adversity.

The narrative deepens as Anne navigates her feelings for Satrio, her childhood friend who secretly supports her endeavors. However, Satrio is caught in a web of duty, being arranged to marry a princess. As Anne battles lung cancer, she confronts her emotions and ultimately gifts Satrio a piece of her handmade batik for his wedding, marking a poignant conclusion to their intertwined fates.
