Anniversary

The story unfolds as Dr. Péter Gergely, an assistant professor at the University of Budapest, celebrates his wedding anniversary with his wife Mária. Their celebration takes a dark turn when Mária discovers Péter with another woman, leading to a devastating divorce. In her quest for happiness, she marries Dr. Tibor Máté, but the situation escalates as Péter, in despair, attempts suicide.

As the plot develops, journalist István Bálint uncovers the truth behind the events, revealing that Máté was manipulating the situation all along. Following a dramatic recovery, Péter loses his memory, leaving Mária and him to grapple with their past. The film concludes with the couple reminiscing about their anniversary as they listen to Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. VI, symbolizing a return to their former life.
