Argentine Love

The story follows Emanuel García, the Mayor of Alcorta in Argentina, as he arranges a marriage for his daughter Consuelo with Juan Martin. This arrangement is made in exchange for financial support from Martin. However, Consuelo is in love with Philip Sears, an American engineer, and she refuses to go through with the marriage to Juan, leading to a tense confrontation. Juan's pride is wounded, resulting in a tragic escalation when he kills Rafael Cornejo, the son of a senator, after a flirtation with Consuelo.
