Attack Force, directed by Michael Keusch, has that gritty action vibe typical of mid-2000s military films. The pacing is quite relentless, with Marshall Lawson, played by the ever-reliable Steven Seagal, driving the narrative as he unravels a conspiracy behind his team's demise. The atmosphere is thick with tension, as well as a sense of betrayal, especially with the subplot involving his girlfriend Tia. The practical effects are decent for the budget, bringing a raw, visceral quality to the fight scenes. Performances are what you’d expect from Seagal: a mix of stoicism and martial prowess. There’s a kind of straightforward charm here, but it's also a bit of a mixed bag in terms of dialogue and execution. Still, it holds a certain allure for collectors interested in the genre's nuances.
Great for fans of mid-2000s action cinema.Unique blend of military themes with conspiracy elements.Interesting performance dynamics between Seagal and supporting cast.
