Autumn Interlude

Set in the early summer of 1942, Autumn Interlude follows the story of Tatsurou and Setsuko, who experience love at first sight in Karuizawa. However, Setsuko is already pledged to marry someone else, prompting her to flee her hometown in search of Tatsurou in Tokyo. Their love story becomes complicated as war breaks out and Tatsurou is called to service. Before his departure, they promise to reunite, but tragedy strikes when Setsuko falls ill with tuberculosis.
