So, Axel 2: Adventures of the Spacekids dives into this pretty wild setup where the once-vibrant Planet Keplar is now a shadow of its former self. The animation has a unique charm, though it can feel a bit dated in some scenes. The pacing is quite brisk, which keeps things moving, but sometimes I wish they had lingered on the world-building a bit more. The themes of environmental exploitation resonate, especially with the whole extinction of the Kar-Lalo plant. It's a family adventure, sure, but there's a bit of depth there if you look for it. The voice performances are decent, adding some personality to the characters, making it a curious piece in the animation landscape of 2017.
Interesting exploration of environmental themes. · Distinctive animation style for its time. · A briskly paced family adventure.
