Azap

Azap tells the story of a family of three who leave their rural life for Istanbul, only to find themselves in dire circumstances after being swindled. They purchase a janitor's position in an apartment building, but when the building is demolished due to expropriation, their situation worsens. Forced into a shantytown in Gültepe, they face further challenges as municipal crews destroy their homes.

The film takes a darker turn when tragedy strikes, leading to the mother’s mental breakdown after the death of her daughter. Azap presents a grim look at the struggles faced by those displaced and the impact of urban development on vulnerable populations. With performances from Aliye Rona, Kadir Savun, Hasan Yıldız, and Akif Kilman, the film captures the emotional weight of its narrative, offering a compelling viewing experience for fans of drama.
