Baige

The film tells the story of Bai Ge, portrayed by Hong Xuemin, who works at an electrical substation. After a close call at work, she decides to cut her long hair and visits the barber shop of Xu Li, played by Zhang Tianxi. Their relationship blossoms as Bai Ge becomes a regular customer, leading to a romantic connection.

However, the narrative takes a turn when Bai Ge experiences jealousy after seeing Xu with another woman. Miscommunication and confusion lead her to sever ties with Xu, creating tension in their budding romance. The film explores themes of love, jealousy, and the complications of relationships in a light-hearted manner, typical of the romance-comedy genre of the early 1980s.
