Baltic Sea for Pigheaded People

The story follows Eva Jensen, a carpenter from Hamburg, who seeks a fresh start by moving to the picturesque Baltic Sea coast. She aims to purchase a workshop with a sea view, but her plans are thwarted by Heide's ex-husband, who has his own reasons for opposing the sale. This conflict leads Eva to uncover a painful family secret from the days of the GDR, revealing the lingering prejudices she faces in the village.

As Eva navigates her new surroundings, she encounters Christian, a local fish-seller who also has ambitions for the workshop. Initially viewing him as competition, the two discover a shared passion for kitesurfing, which brings them closer together. This blend of romance and personal growth, set against the vibrant backdrop of eastern Germany, offers a unique perspective on community and personal resilience.
