Now living as immigrants in France, they navigate their complex lives, with Emil seeking stability and Stanko getting involved in the risky worlds of gambling and cock fighting. Their mother, Anna, longs to return to Montenegro, clinging to her past while grappling with the realities of their new life.

The arrival of their uncle Larkos, recently released from prison, serves as a catalyst for the brothers, reigniting old family dynamics and unresolved tensions.
