The film follows Sunder, a carefree young man who embarks on a journey to find a groom for his sister, Laajo. Despite his initial lack of concern for family duties, Sunder finds himself marrying Pilu, the daughter of Mooley Shah, which creates complications in Laajo's marriage plans.

As Sunder navigates the challenges of familial expectations, his maternal uncle Bishandas steps in to assist in the search for a suitable groom. The story takes a turn when Laajo's marriage faces hurdles due to dowry demands from the groom's father. Ultimately, Bishandas's efforts lead to a resolution, allowing Laajo to marry Atmaram, who chooses to disown his father's demands in favor of love and commitment.
