Basic Love

Basic Love focuses on a love triangle between three central characters: Ling, June, and Rex. Ling, played by Elanne Kwong, is hiding her battle with leukaemia from her friends. June, portrayed by Janice Man, has feelings for Rex, but those feelings are not reciprocated.

As the film progresses, Rex, played by Rex Ho, participates in a competition by writing a love song about someone special, although he does not reveal the identity of that person. The emotional tension builds until Ling’s hospitalization forces the characters to confront their feelings and the reality of their situations. This film captures the intricacies of love and the impact of unspoken emotions on friendships.
