Bawod

The story follows twelve-year-old Thirdy as she navigates the challenges of poverty and familial responsibility in a rural village in Iloilo. With her grandfather Cesario struggling to make ends meet as a bamboo farmer, Thirdy faces the pressure of participating in her school's annual Talent Show. Her desire to perform is complicated by her inability to afford a traditional costume and the necessary contribution for the event.

As Thirdy grapples with her circumstances, she begins to experience visions of a mysterious man, whom she believes to be her deceased father. This element adds a layer of complexity to her character and the narrative, as her family and village confront their own issues. The film's runtime of 20 minutes allows for a focused yet impactful storytelling experience that highlights the intersection of personal dreams and communal realities.
