BENZIN

Set 30 years after the reunification of Germany, BENZIN tells the story of Leon, whose mother left him and his father, who operates a gas station near the Polish border. The gas station is desolate, with few visitors and little conversation about the past. The arrival of a young Ukrainian woman brings a shift in the narrative, as she seeks work for a wealthy family that occasionally visits the village.

As Leon interacts with this newcomer, he begins to confront his unresolved feelings about his family's history. The film explores the dynamics of their relationship and how it might help Leon find peace with his unknown past. The cast includes Béla Gabor Lenz, Kateryna Molchanova, Joseph Bundschuh, and Jörg Bundschuh, each contributing to the film's emotional depth.
