Bhagwaan Dada is a gritty action film, directed by J. Om Prakash, that really captures the raw essence of Bombay in the '80s. You’ve got this young guy, Swaroop, who lands in a rough patch right from the start—mugged and homeless. The tone shifts dramatically as he encounters a shady figure who offers him help, only to reveal a world of crime lurking underneath. The pacing can be a bit uneven, but it adds to the tense atmosphere of the underbelly of the city. Performances are solid, especially the lead, who brings a sense of vulnerability to his character. It’s got a distinct flavor of street life and desperation that’s pretty compelling, even if it doesn't always nail its thematic ambitions.
