The narrative follows Suryani, who helps Iskandar find work while developing a romantic relationship with him. However, their happiness is disrupted by the return of Iskandar's wife, Aminah, and their child. Suryani's sudden disappearance while pregnant complicates matters further.

Six years later, Iskandar, with the help of his secretary Sri, locates Suryani and their daughter, Atik, in a village. Initially hesitant, Suryani eventually agrees to return to the city with Iskandar, but she soon withdraws and restricts Atik from seeing him. As Iskandar's company faces bankruptcy, Suryani steps in to assist by selling her house and shop, leading to unexpected consequences for all involved.
